Storybook Delights is an enchanting and interactive storytelling experience designed for young children. Allow one of our magical storytellers to lead your students on a captivating journey through time, where we bring classic and modern fairytales to life using music, song, dancing, audience participation and beautiful finger puppetry.

These performances help children actively engage with stories while teaching them valuable lessons in personal safety, ethics, and decision-making. Each show is crafted with the Early Years Learning Framework and Kindergarten Fairy Tale Unit in mind, making it a perfect fit for preschool and early primary students. With themes of responsibility, kindness, and problem-solving, Storybook Delights supports the development of confident, positive thinkers and encourages them to explore their own identities.

Version 2 – For Primary School (Kindergarten)

For Kindy students, Storybook Delights delves deeper into the language features of narrative storytelling. This version encourages students to expand their vocabulary by focusing on descriptive qualities, character development, and storytelling structure. It’s the perfect companion to the Kindergarten Fairytale Unit, enhancing classroom learning with a dynamic, live theatre experience.

Storybook Delights children’s theatre

Version 1 – For Preschool Audiences (Ages 2-6)

This version is perfect for early learners, capturing their imagination while introducing the foundations of storytelling and ethical thinking. Children can follow the story, contribute their ideas, and engage with the characters through fun interactive moments.

Duration: 45 minutes

Audience: Daycare and Preschool groups (ages 2-6)

For Preschools:

  • Cost: $410 per show (for an audience of up to 50)

  • Price is inclusive of all costs.

For Primary Schools (Kindergarten):

  • Cost: Starting from $410 for an audience of up to 40 children

How We Bring Storybook Delights to Your School or Preschool

We bring everything needed to transform your school or preschool into a magical storytelling theatre! Blue Whale Theatre provides:

  • Professional puppets, props, and a sound system

  • Beautiful costumes tailored to the stories

  • One friendly, efficient performer who will set up and take down the show, leaving your space exactly as we found it.

Our performances require minimal setup—just a power socket and a clear indoor space. We’ll handle the rest!

Setup Requirements:

Our performer needs about 30 minutes to set up before the first performance. We perform in a wide range of spaces, from school halls to smaller classrooms, and can adapt our show to suit the available area.
