Olivia Xegas

Olivia Xegas (they/she) is a Greek-Australian Actor, Writer, Theatre-Maker, Creative Producer and Teaching Artist born and based on unceded Darug country, Western Sydney. Olivia is our amazing Tour Company manager when we take our shows out on the road.

In May 2021 they completed a Bachelor of Performance (Dramatic Arts) at the Australian Institute of Music – Dramatic Arts (AIMDA). Between 2021-2023 she was a proud member of the PYT Fairfield Ensemble and Company, where she performed multiple acting, writing, producing and stage management roles. Olivia is currently a part of the 2024/2025 Page to Stage program with National Theatre of Parramatta (NToP) and the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA). In 2022 Olivia joined PP&VA’s Performing Arts Committee. Olivia also teaches Drama regularly across Intensive English Centres throughout Sydney.

Therase Neve, Blue Whale Theatre, 2023-25), Hamlet in HAMLET (dir. David Fenton, AIMDA, 2019), Joyce in TOP GIRLS (dir. Peta Downes, AIMDA, 2020), Scarlett in KHAIR (خير): AN OMEN, A MESSAGE, A BLESSING (dir. Yvan Karezi and Bina Bhattacharya, 2023, PYT Fairfield), Alex in CONTROL (dir. Patrick Howard, New Theatre, 2022) and Fenton in THE MERRY WIVES OF WINDSOR (dir. Victor Kalka, New Theatre, 2022).

Their production credits include Producer and Curator of CULTUREVATE: CAFE BRÁVO (PYT Fairfield, 2024), Co-Creative Producer for PIONEERS (dir. Eliam Royalness, PYT Fairfield with City of Sydney and Blacktown Arts, 2024), Assistant Producer for THE ARROGANCE (dir. Lucinda Gleeson, KXT on BROADWAY, 2024), Co-Producer and Performer in TUÂN’S PARTY (dir. Neda Taha, PYT Fairfield, 2023), and Stage Manager for the Sydney Opera House and Arts Centre Melbourne tour of DORR-E DARI (dir. Paul Dwyer, PYT Fairfield, 2022)

Olivia is currently working on her debut play where they explore the Greek-Australian queer experience through a femme, Western Sydney lens, and investigate both the Greek and Queer elements of 'Sapphic' love in an ancient and modern context. In 2023 Olivia was recipient of the PYT Fairfield Lansdowne Foundation Scholarship, where in 2024 she developed this work and completed a work-in-progress showing.
